Tranquil
Just before dawn,
Someplace between a dream and the breath of awakening,
My arm rests above my head.
He shifts.
Ever so gently his hand couples mine,
Without thought,
My thumb lightly grazes the tips of his fingers.
There's warmth in his closeness.
Inhaling the air of silence before the day emerges,
I relish in his sleepy affection.
The weight of his embrace,
The rattle in his snore,
There's peace.
The sun begins to rise.
His touch retreats,
His breaths become deep again,
Morning illuminates the room,
The moment now a memory.
Gemini love.
